Flyboone/Jay/anyone:

I have here a Jeti SPIN-44 which I use for my Heli and had it setup in Governor mode. I have this nagging questions which could not find the answer in either the manual or around the net.

My questions are:
1. At what point will the governor mode activate and deactivate while flying?

2. What does the Min RPM do (or what is the use of)?

In some forum I read that most governor deactivates at 30% of throttle but not sure if it applies to Electric and/or ESC governor.

Thanks,
Rico.

Hi Rico,
I usually setup throttle curves as follows:

normal mode: 0,100,100,100,100
Idle up: 100,100,100,100,100

Your number may not be 100, it just depends on your power system. Having the 0 at the bottom of the normal curve will enable the ESC to boot up and arm properly. I don't know the answer to your second question. I've only used the governer mode a few times. I prefer to set my helis up using the standard mode.

Jason,
Thanks for the input. Yes I have something like that you mentioned except that mine is something like 0,50,60,70,70. I have no trouble with it except during landing when I can feel something like the heli is hitting the ground hard no matter how much I try to be light on my throttle stick. I was just thinking that maybe in the process of 'throttling down' I hit the governor cutoff point (causing it to disengage) that the RPM abruptly went down. But could be my pitch also.

Anyway, I appreciate the input.

Thanks,
Rico
