pros and cons?My 2 cents worth:
Given the large advances in LiPo and brushless motors, I would always recommend electric for small planes, like under 2 kg, but especially 1kg and under. Electric is clean, less vibration most likely, quieter most likely, turns on at flick of a switch and not likely to simply shut off or die, plus no toxic/flammable/messy fuel. In my years of flying and crashing electric, I have never seen a LiPo battery catch fire, even the ones that puffed up. Fires from LiPo do happen, but in my experience it is not easy to make happen.. it is not itching for an excuse.
I think main pro of fuel based is the "recharge" time is very fast. Bigger engines don't have to be noisy with good mufflers.

I agree with Dean. I would also like to add that it depends on your flight requirements. Gas aircraft can more easily fly for longer durations on larger aircraft. Electrics are catching up fast so hopefully we'll be able to power larger aircraft for longer duration flights more affordably than we currently can.

A better question is how many single question poster are we going to get in the UAV forum ... is RCG trying to boost posting numbers with ghosts?????
