I have several of these in use (Hobbycity) and I wonder how close I can mount them to the ESC (100A Mystery) in the boat.
Velcroed on top would be the most convinient, as I could wire it permanently to the ESV battery leads (so I don't forget to switch it on after the hatch has already been taped down... (don't ask))
Anybody?
Regards, Jan.

Does this help?..

Although taping it directly to the ESC may cause some issues due to the heat produced from the ESC...

Yes it does, Thanks Toesup!
The UBEC won't be 'taped directly 'onto the ESC, but would sit on the shrinkwrap, coveringing the watercooling, separated by the Velcro, so direct heat radiation won't be an issue.
I'll give it a go, should things go 'poof', I'll report back.

Hi Jan.
I use these little beauties in all sorts of situations, like next to receivers, batteries, ESCs, brushed motors, brushless motors. They effect nothing & nothing effects them. At least in my experience so far.
These are the ones I use

All the best.

I like the amperage rating...
And it's a switching regulator, so it should waste
less power in the voltage reduction.
