I have the Wendell Hostetler, 1:4 Gilmore Red Lion and having a friend build the frame for me. Question is has anyone built this and if you can clear the air on how and where the landing gear mounts. It looks like it mounts in the spar area of the center wing section within the box.
The wood kit was from Persission Cutters.

I am building the same plane..Built one before and changed the Landing gear to Alum..Mounting to the center cection of the wing ...Trouble with Hausteter print ..It it old tech. Times have changed ...Wing mounts on mine have been changed to a tube ..I had Godfrey sell me a set of tubes and the kit cutter cut the round holes in the ribs ...His print is a good guide for building , but needs lots of changes wich he has not done in 10 years ....Rich
