I have a JR tranmitter that shows 5 volts on the display when the battery is in, easy fix right, new battery. Swapped the cells for known good ones. Equivelant 9.6 voltage. the battery in it was 550 ma, replaced it with 800 ma cells. Test new battery, 10.4 volts, plug it in, the display shows 5.3 volts or so then cuts out at around 4.8 for low voltage.
I tried a 7.2 volt 1200 ma battery to test and it came up as 3.8 volts and cut out on low voltage alarm.
any ideas???
the cmos battery inside the controller is good, reading 3 volts DC and the fuse shows good too.
