Every year our club holds a regatta for the traveling trophy. The 08 regatta was held today. It started off in typical WSBA fashion as we couldn't find the conduit rods which anchor the bouys. All club equipment was transferred into the utility trailer the club purchased last year so we would know where everything is. Two members went out to find more conduit (not easy on a early Sunday morning). When they got back the president went into the trailer and found them behind a couple of equipment bags in the PVC pipe container they belonged in. he was the only guy who didn't go into the trailer at the beginning. It was a little cool and breezy but tolerable. The only other problems we encountered were a glitchy stopwatch and a tethered bouy which decided to lose its anchor and go roaming around the pond. Dave B (boater_dave) our club secretary was contest director and his mission this year was to reduce the run offs from last year. We only had one (for second place in precision steering) and the run off was a tie. The two competitors decided not to run off again so the tie was broken by a coin toss.
