does the arlton gyro on lite machines 116 realy work, and is it resonspive enough for a begenger, sorry for spelling errors.

If it's the Dual Gain one from the 110 then yes it's not too bad at what
it's supposed to do

You have to make sure it moves VERY freely - oil it nicely and make sure the
paddles are aligned properly.
Lite Machines manuals are fantastic and you should read every bit about
setup to make sure you have things set properly.

Some trash-talk that mechanical gyro, but it worked fine for me and I
appreciated that it made me learn to use my "lazy" left thumb a bit, which
was great for the learning curve later on. Also it doesn't crap out in
extreme cold:)

Yes, it does work. I learned on this gyro the basics of helicopter flight..
It's not heading hold so you don't have to push the rudder to turn while
you're going forward.
