Where might I find a book, article, or website that could get me started in creating some pull-pull controls? What is Ackerman? How crazy can I get with angles and pullies?

I did a search through E-Zone. When I thought I had found some threads that referenced web pages that might have had good stuff within, the target pages were gone.

Thanks, in advance, to the greatest resource on and off the WorldWide Web.:D

Both sides of a pull pull system must be slack free to prevent possible flutter.

Stratigically placed and oriented intermediate pulleys can allow you to route the cables where desired and to achieve almost any orientation between the servo and control surface.

In addition to the rigid rod analogy, a pair of pulley wheels or, partial pulley wheels, work well. The pulley wheels must be centered on and attached to the control surface hinge axis and the servo output axis. The control surface angular travel will be equal to the servo angular travel times the ratio of servo pulley radius to control surface pulley radius. Partial pulleys can be used as long as the parts of the pulley cut away do not prevent the control cables from remaining tangent to the pulley diameter.

You might try doing a Google search of "kinematic linkages" where you will find several PDF downloads of papers on the subject.
