Hello,
I need some advice in my choice of replacement speed controller after my current one has finally started to play up.

The one I am currently looking at is a Robbe navy control 535 R. has any one had any experience with this type an or make. Good or bad?

Its going to be used in a scale boat so need good slow speed and good top speed (for when you feel the need :D ). Not exactly sure what the motor is but it’s what comes with a Robbe Navy Kompakt: No. 4105. Power source is two 6Volt 12Ah Jell cells in parallel.

I’m open to recommendations as well.

Thanks
Mark

Vantec makes great ESC, the they have high amp tolerances, and great range of control. Easy to attach and have great detailed instructions. Worth the money. I have an RET411H with integrated heatsink. Never had a problem with it.

I hear good things about ProBoat ESC as well. although I have never used one myself.

scott, I have one of those proboat 50a esc's, though there isn't much control below 1/4 power, it is quite happy at 12v down to 4.8v, and totally waterproof and its also plug and play.

Mark the Robbe is an expensive ESC even for the Europeans and it´s rated at 35A I believe there are enough US or Chinese ESC´s that deliver same or better quality. Robbe is BTW a good choice and I have excellent experience with their products. Boo

Use Pro-Boat blue Esc's in all my larger boats. Have had very good luck with them.
