I happened upon this idea sort of by accident; I made the opening for a stuffing tube in the wrong spot, and I had an extra channel in my skeg that I didn't need :o . Rather than closing it up I thought of different ways to make use of it ;) .
A lot of times people will place the intake for water cooling right behind the prop. There's usually not any talk about where the exhaust side should be.
I was wondering (see attached picture) if placing the exhaust side right in front of the prop would cause extra suction on that side, thus creating more pressure over the whole system, which would improve cooling water flow, especially at low speeds.
Not sure if this would be very useful, and I'm pretty sure someone has already thought about this. Any feedback?
