Mine (TT39) was over-heating, and nothing helped with turning low/high
needle.
I finaly opened the Carburator and after looking really close on the O-Ring
on the "High-needle" I found the fault.
There was a very small mark on it, close to not visable. Changed it and now
the engine is happy again.
By the way, I had the same thing on the Carburator on my TT36 engine. The
same O-ring on the "High-needle" had a mark, and leaning out,
also fixed by changing O-ring.
For me it seems like a production fault, since It all started within
two-tanks, on both engines.

Had this problem before. Alot of blue-locktite helped, let it settle for one
night.
After some flight, while the muffler is hot, fasten a bit more..
But don't strip the gears...

If it is the exhaust, well I had that problem so far with all TT
engines/exhausts.
After some more tightening you WILL strip the thread. Best to drill the
thread out, use longer bolts and put a nut on the (exhaust) end. That wont
work for a start, because there isn't enough space for the nut. So you got
to file either the nut in shape or, carefully, the exhaust. I did the latter
but you have to be really careful because there isn't too much 'meat' (thin
wall).
Nylocks are obviously useless, so a spring washer or counter nut is in
order.

William,
A little off subject, but where in RSA are you? I went to high school in
Newcastle before moving back to the states. I don't seem to remember any
chopper pilots, in the 5 years I was there. Glad to here it's taking off
there.

Thanks Martin I will Attempt Double nuts on my exhaust with a longer bolt or
threaded rod.

You could also try the tried and tested methos of using eopxy on the exhaust
William. It doesn't come free when you're flying, but it will break free
when you have a need to remove it. A slight tap with a piece of wood breaks
the seal with no damage.
Loc-Tite when cured is usually "de-cured" by the application of heat, so
bearing that in mind will give you a better idea of how well it'll stand up
to the heat of the exhaust system.

I have had this problem as well and have found that 'blue' loctite is
not the answer. Blue will melt at the temperature that the muffler /
head connection runs at, allowing it to loosen as though there is
nothing holding the bolt but butter.
Talked to some local old salts and they said use red loctite on the
muffler bolts an all will be well. Did so here and have not
experienced a problem since.

HI.
Has anyone got a Raptor V2 & Ripmax 50th Aniversary FF6
I've not used mine for a couple of years and now my son is interested in it,
however having now replaced all the dead batteries the radio settings have
also been lost. Having spoken to someone at ripmax aparantly this can happen
?
Anyway, my question is, has anyone got this radio and heli?, could you post
your radio settings please so I might re-enter them into mine.
I've spend hours googling and gotten no-where, originally I built the heli
and took it back to the shop whereby the owner checked it over and finished
the setup for me, so i've never actually gone through the radio setup.
I visited the local field nearby to Dorking and all I got from one of the
'trainers' was you really shouldnt be using that radio there are much better
ones out there, yes perhaps I agree but for an entry level for my son I'm
sure its fine, he really wanted to sell me another radio and some lessons.
Another pilot was much more helpful and was able to give the aircraft the
once over and get it into the air but with his radio and he wasnt familular
with a FF6.
Can anyone point the way please,
Thanks,

I've got the heli, but not the radio. Try some of the RC forums out
there.. Here's a few links to start you off:
http://www.helifreak.com
http://www.raptortechnique.com
http://www.rcgroups.com
http://www.rcuniverse.com
http://www.runryder.com
Raptor V2 great to learn on and progress onto more advanced flying.
Futaba FF6. Oh dear oh dear!
Its a plank set thats been bodged with the most basic of heli functions.
Try adjusting the pitch curves. Its a compromise nightmare.
Oddly enough its actually easier to set up for full 3d than as a
beginner setup.
Copying someone elses settings is also not really recommended. At worst
you might reverse a channel (eg.possibly because a link is on the other
side of servo)with disasterous results.)
you can use the FF6 as the buddy box to a better set with no problems.
Setup so all the settings are in the good set and all the buddy box is
providing is stick position info.
Hope that helps.
