I am brand new to the weedeater power and was wondering if anyone could
tell me how hot they normally run. I just installed a totally stock
31cc and am running it with stock exhaust. It's not a speed demon but
runs fairly well but when I take it back out of the water it seems
extremely hot. I'm sure the future may include water cooling but for
now I'd just like to run it stock. I guess short question is how hot is
hot? Thanx, Charlie.

The engines normally get pretty hot. Next time you trim the grass with
your weedwacker, see how hot that gets. Normally, pretty hot.

Just make sure all the cooling fins on the engine are intact and there
is some air flow around the engine.

That's kinda what I thought, the first time I ran it was in the evening
and the exhaust was glowing red. I thought at first this was too hot
but after running it some more it's no hotter than my regular
weedeater. It's not too fast, I guess I'll work on that next ;) Thanks
for your reply, Charlie.
