Hi guys,
I am currently building a 165cm (65") model of the offshore powerboat
'Cigarette'. I am wondering if a 49cc engine will be to big for this
boat? Also can you guys give me some links to some good rc boat
stockists that will ship to Australia as i need hardware such a prop,
shaft and rudder.
Thankyou.

Where in Oz are you? Because we have very good stockists here, at least
on the Eastern side, as in Melbourne/Sydney/Brisbane.

And even if you are in Perth, shipping BNE-PER is going to be cheaper
and quicker than (anywhere outside Oz)-Oz.

Cheers,

The 49cc won't be too big for a 65" hull - it's a big hull. What sort of
engine is it? The biggest problem will be getting enough RPM at the
prop as some engines will only do 10000-12000 rpm.

A few boat suppliers near you are

And Float-A-Boat, in Ringworm, but they are more for scale and the like
rather than sheer grunt, <http://www.floataboat.com.au>

There is (was?) also a hobby shop in Boronia, whose name and address
currently escape me (perhaps on Boronia Road?), who have a nice range of
boat bits (or at least they did when they were in Springvale Road,
Nunawading).

Cheers,
