Hey I'm new to this web site. I'm currently studying engineering. I'm
yet to do cad. so I was wondering which programs (for free preferably,
if any) would you be able to view cad. drawings with, as I have
downloaded a drawing and cant view it

Many thanks

Damian

Hi D,

There is alot of drawing packages on the net, you will most likley need
one that reconizes .DXF format.

Check these 2 sites out and see if they work for you.

http://www.solidworks.com/pages/products/edrawings/eDrawings.html.

Cheers, Mud.

Hello,
have a look at http://www.qcad.org/ . 25 Years ago I used to be a
mechanical engineer (stress and strain) and instructor on
Infographics CamX . Today, beeing a little worn out at the edges, I
use QCad frequently. It is 2-D and handles .dxf . It's many facilities
are grouped and managed in a way to make it not too overcrowded. It
costs USD 37.- on-line and is available in English. There is quite a
community and an extensive documentation in the net. Once You get the
knack of it, it can be operated very intuitionally.

Greetings and good luck.
