Hey guys my reception is really bad on my 900mhz tx, I was wondering what are those two tuning pots on the tx board? and can they be used to tune the frequency.
I will try flippng the back switches and see if I can lock in on a better freq.

I would not touch those pots or anything else in there, if you dont have specail test equipment, you will only make things far worse than they are now.
Try the different frequencies, and also, check your antennas very carefully. What kind of antennas are you using ? What do you mean by really bad reception, some distance and information on how you tested would help a lot.
It is not likely that the transmitter is that badly out of tune, lots of people buy these, and they usually work very well. I would look at a lot of other things first before I started to suspect a bad transmitter.

*** P.S. Can you make the picture of the receipt bigger, I cant see the credit card number in the pictures you posted ;)

I had the same problems. Ordered 2 900MHz 500mW Tx from RV (actually 3, I exchanged the first one), use it with standard and dual output receivers from RV. I ordered 3dB rubber stick antenna from hyperlink for Tx. My range was <300m with 3dB antenna on Rx and <800m with 8dB patch antenna.
Now I switched to 2.4GHz 1W lawmate (from nghobbies.com) with YellowJacket standard receiver and reception is much more better! I flied about 1km away with standard 3dB antennas and did not see any snow at all.

OK I figured out the problem. I didn't select the channel on the rx, so it would go automaically scan through 1-4 channels in sequence until I select my Channel 1.
its always the simple things aye?

Also I tried different locations of video Tx, on the pod (EZ* and TS2), on the wing (EZ*) and had same result. I measured the output power of TX and it was 450mW. I don't know what can be wrong.

Try getting away from the city. That pretty much solved all my range issues.
I get maybe 1/8th mile noise free range, Oracle box works hard at 1/4 mile
and I can't publish a video of anything beyond that, when I fly
within sight of the city. When I go out to the mountains the Oracle box
doesn't even beep until I'm out over 1/2 mile, it's pretty clean out to a little
over a mile, and I've flown it without significant issue to nearly 2 miles.
It could be something else, but I've got two Txs, 3 Rxs, the Oracle box, 2 8dB
patches and duckies of all varieties coming out my ears, and the only
fix to was to get away from the noise.
