I have faced this issue. Two reason for this trouble
1-You might need an additionnal power supply if the main battery voltage is too high
2- If you re using an additionnal battery the GPS need less than 6 V. 4.8 tu 5.2 V is perfect. (use a diod in order to reduce the voltage)

Hi Blindman,
Sorry to hear about your issue. Could you please do the following:
1) Connect the GPS
2) Start "Live Mode" in the Windows software.
3) In the lower lefthand corner of the PC screen, the GPS status will be shown. Can you let me know the status?
Some other things to check:
1) Make sure that hte "Spektrum Logging" function is turned off. If it is on, the GPS will not be detected.
2) Make sure you are logging GPS parameters.

Hi Blindman,
I think there must be a broken wire or loose plug nside the GPS. Two options:
1) can you remove the shrinkwrap, and check the plug and wiring? We will send you replacement shrinkwrap/label if you want to try this.
2) Can you return the GPS to the place of purchase for an exchange?

Well its strange that its doing the same thing with the new Expander I got as I have two of them ,I brought a second one thinkn the first one must be broken however its doing the same thing. I have ordered a new Logger eventhough the original V3 I have works in all areas just maybe the GPS section is buggered ?? anyway I will let you know the outcome when I get it tomorrow .
Cheers

Blindman, that is odd. I'm assuming that there's no chance you are plugging the GPS into the wrong port? If this could be a possibility, could you post a photo of your connection? If that's not the problem, then the only remaining variable is the eLogger itself.
