When you are writing your post, look toward the bottom of the page for the "Manage Attachments" button.

From there you can browse to find your image. Click the upload button and it will be ready to include in your post.

GO TO PHOTOBUCKET.COM register, upload pictures then under every uploaded pictures is a direct link box copy

for example the link for my picture is http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa36/Stevelum_2007/Dickie%20Seaport%20Workboat%20Tugboat%20RC/vlcsnap-1873072.png

i paste the link between the picture's direct link from photobucket

result is a picture in the post http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa36/Stevelum_2007/Dickie%20Seaport%20Workboat%20Tugboat%20RC/vlcsnap-1873072.png

NOOOOOOOOO!
I hate it when people do that. Instead of just loading thumbnails, where I can choose to view the big picture or not, I'm forced to load the whole huge stinkin' image (and sometimes, MANY of them!) every time I visit the page. See for example KMOT's Long Beach/San Pedro thread here (http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=914079)... imagine all those pix loading full size!
Also, if the picture is big like the one above, it and the text scroll off the side of the screen (we don't all have 20-bizillion pixel width monitors, you know...).

p.s.: A side benefit those of us who obsess over such things: Thumbnailed pictures get a "hit counter", linked images don't...

I'm not a fan of linking to sites external to RC groups. It can slow things down. I prefer to upload to RC Groups (my blog) and then link the images to the thread with the IMG process.

I dislike thumbnails because it launches a 'new' window/tab and then you have to browse through images you don't want to see (artifically inflating that 'hit counter') or you have to open and close that browsing window all the time.

I do support the thumbnail method if you are going to plaster a ton of images up. Like Pat points out it would be a nightmare to load that page if you did it with the IMG technique. If it's just a handful of photos, go ahead and load them up in 640x480 or 800x600. That's just my opinion though, it's not worth much. :D
