Wires? What wires?

on a battleship... lower tray has hinged "wings" which allow it to be folded and inserted into the too-small deck opening.
An upper tray provides additional space for more gear. It sits on posts over the lower tray.
Terminal strips make handy bus-bars and help organize the wires.
Use wire ties, clips, and cable wraps (spiral or corrugated) to organize wires into cables... avoid Rats' Nests!

No problem, he's just an airplane guy... they don't bother with "pretty" 'cause they're just going to crash anyway! :D

But I don't get the joke, that's the way I cook too!
BTW, did I mention that you REALLY need to lacquer and polish all your interior woodwork?

That's because he heard a beeping, and someone leaned in and said "Cut the BLUE WIRE, cut the BLUE WIRE!" He did, but it still blew up and you see the results. The green and blue wires accidentally mated... :D

I've seen that movie. Wasn't it a tug boat that they were in that vaporized?

KMOT,I see from the servo plugs that you've had that wreck for awhile. Futuba hasn't used them for years. You can get adapter cables for them though,in various lengths, and that would add to the esthetics of the whole effect.

Adapter cables Charlie?? Nah, just cut, twist, and some black tape. :D

Sure! :p
How long did that tub sit on the bottom before you salvaged it? I wouldn't be surprised to see LIPSETT in tall white lettering on the side of the hulk. :D :D :D
I can better that but it would not be a boat, but one of my other toys that crawl around on land.

It used to be neat and tidy at one time, I was told. But two decades of running, repairing, and modifying sort of turned it into a rats nest. Literally. :p

You reckon wrong then! That's all I could fit in the boat.(sort of) .It's about 1/3 of the total.
It reminded me of those "nearest guess....sweety jar" competitions. So I counted and made a note.:)

Then why did you give yourself the name? It's easy urban slang to remember and it gives a heads up to folk near where I lived....I've noticed a few aquaintances in the boat forums.
I "purloined" the name,to be precise. Much like anything in that suburban paradise, not nailed down, ends up. After your post,I was asked to attend an I.D. parade next Thursday!:D

I might take a camera and drop in on a weekly boat club meeting to see how my old buddies have faired after a hiatus of 5 years.(quite a few will have passed away) :(
These guys had many boats so big they had to store them permanently in the boathouse. They kindly provided the materials for my picture.

As my friend Charlie might like to say... "It is, but I'm not" hehehe :D
But anyway Tom.. I'm almost anal about trying to keep things neat. Makes it easier to do adjustments or mods later.

It's a dialect of English.

Here's the controls in my Bismarck.
The servo on the left is a 10 position selector switch for the guns (4 mains & 6 secondaries)
The servo on the right is the 'left' 'off' 'right' switch.
The circuit board with the big blue cap is a voltage regulator dropping 6.0v down to 1.2 v for the gun turret motors.
I usually have a lid on that box so it's all hidden. Looks much tidier then.
