Any RC boat (electric) clubs in the Western WA. State? If so, please give details of where and when they use them? I live in Anacortes, 75 miles North of Seattle.

I'm getting close to ordering an Atlantic Tug Boat. I'm wondering about getting bored after a couple of months. If you had it to do again, which boat would you purchase?

The Atlantic Tug Boat is a very good retrieval boat.
I would not worry about getting bored. You can do all kind of modifications to improve the performance and looks.
Some of my mods.

The Northwest RC Ship Modelers meet at Galaxy Hobby in Lynnwood the first Thursday of the month at 7 PM. See galaxyhobby.com for the address.
The Skagit RC Ship Modelers is a sub-group of the NWRCSM. We meet at the Skagit PUD building in Mt. Vernon the first Monday at 7 PM. The PUD is just south of College Ave. on the southbound access road of I-5. KeithS on this forum is its leader.
There is also the Burnaby Association of Marine Modelers in Burnaby, BC. They don't have a website, but meet and run our boats every Sunday morning at the Burnaby Central Park pond.
All of these clubs focus on electric driven boats, mainly tugs with a liberal mix of other types. Come on out and meet us.

Welcome to the forum and boats. As CG Aux 26 mentioned there are a number of clubs in Western WA. The closeset to you being the Skagit group ( a division of NW R/C shipmodelers) meeting in Mt. Vernon, WA ( used to meet in Annacortes). love to have you come on out to the next meeting on Sept. 8th to meet the folks and ask questions. :D
I live in Bellingham, 25 miles north of Mt.Vernon, but attend all the meetings there along with others fromthe northern part of Puget Sound.

richvi,
Don't worry about getting bored if you join a club. Half the fun of this hobby is the people you will meet and come to call friends. Just surf around this forum and you will get a sense (in a small way) of what the experience is like. The only members of this forum I know personally are those in the club I belong to. I can imagine any one of the folks on this forum showing up at our pond and being right at home. It was the same for me when I stopped by the SEBM club pond in Georgia last year. Listening to their members joke, tease, encourage, and laugh together was just like being home.
Take Keith, and CGAux26 up on the offer. You won't regret it. You may regret the credit card bills from the hobby shop as you get sucked deeper and deeper into the hobby. ;)

RICHVI,
Just received an e-mail that the Skagit Ship Modelers meeting will be September 15, not first Monday or 9/8 as previously reported. The meeting will still be at the Skagit PUD building at 7 PM. Come on down.
