Quartz vibration sensor

Are you using a piezoelectric sensor or a micro machine sensor etched in quartz (SMM) ?

Hobbycity is carrying these for $33.15. I'm looking forward to seeing some reviews from souls braver than I. If they're great, I may pick one up.

I would also like to know if this is a SMM gyro or piezo gyro.

The colclo Gyro states SMM technology too but is a bad gyro. The demo video look good... but telebee demo video look good too. I really wish to se someone neutral that flyes at least GY401 testing.... maybe I'll order one next time I need something at Hobby-City. It's time for a 50$ class Gyro that works... maybe this is a dream. Especially if you listen to people that consider even the GY401 a bad gyro...

well, i have one in my cart from hobbycity..... i had to get servo's and some 14 ga wire, and an 80A ESC for my Hurricane 550 Build anyways......

ill put the ASSAN on my shark 450, with a .09 sec digital mg servo i have laying around.... the sharks v2 stock gyro has to go.....

for 35.00, ill take a chance.

correct, as a Gyro, the important features is not depend on which sensor be used.the key is it's behaviour in flying.

GA410's target is for basic 3D playing.not hard one.actually, one guy with best operate skill,he even can use a bad Gyro flying as with a best Gyro's. that is why you can see fantastic test video and your real experience will feel bad.

i can say that our GA410 is not too bad,can be used in normal flying at least.it's not up te level of Futaba's GY401.honest say, how many Gyro better than GY401?

we have some project in advanced Gyros, i hope we can got improve step by step.

Is it temperature stable? Many cheap gyroes is creeping when the temperature changes while flying.

each sensor ask the user not use it in a harsh temp change condition.so, such as your flying in summer, when you take your model from your cooling room to high temp park, you need waitting for some mins to balance the temp change.as in winner, same as that too.keep the model in the flying situation for some mins before flying.

except that, the gyro is solid in your flying period, you needn't worry about the temp change will influnce your gyro.

You couldn't ask for more honest and fair answers, just what we have come to expect from Assan in their interaction with RCG :)

Well, I have tested two of them now and both didn`t like temp changes at all.

Both of them couldn`t be trimmed out to get the servo to stay at the same point for more than a few minuttes, even with no temp change. Have to say that they are the worst cheap gyroes I have ever tried (Colco, Gulang 700-730, Esky head lock, Align 500, Walkera ect)

the worst? really? i can't believe at all.

as i said before, GA410 is not one of the top gyros, but i am sure it's more better than your metioned brand gyros.

i am sorry to hear your report.

best,

I ordered this gyro as a test and got it a couple of days ago. Tried to set it up as described in the manual. But everytime I turn it on I have to dial in some 10 clicks of trim, otherwise it will drift. Next time I turn it on I have to dial in 10 clicks again... Never got it to hold without trimming it every time. Switched to my gy401 and rock solid. Anyone else tried this gyro. Maybe Iīm doing something wrong here but I doubt that. The heli is a small sjm180 by the way. I also put the two gyros next to each other and the similarity is almost funny..

hi weng, when do you think it will be avaible in hc store.
i will compare it to lgt2100t on gaui ep100 and sjm 400.

Donīt compare it with lgt2100t. It should be compared to other piezo gyros like Telebee . Otherwise itīs not a fair comparison. I think it was a mistake to brand it like a Futaba 401. Itīs not that bad though if you are aware of itīs weaknesses.

Bought one of these to try on my SlowSticks Rudder.
;ack: Not good at all.

The setup doesn't quite follow the instructions. Or maybe I can't follow(?).
Took it to the LHS to have one of the Heli guys help me and it doesn't respond as it should.

When he connect a Futaba HH turning the gyro turned the rudder smoothly in either direction.
The same with the GA-410 produces a lot of stuttering and the rudder goes back to the initial position. This happens in normal and HH modes.

In HH the rudder is pulled right maximum and will not respond to anything but left stick and can not be trimmed.
But being new to gyros I was told and read previously that trim is not used on a gyro channel.
The only way to use this is to initialize the gyro, turn off HH and then trim with the TX to center the rudder. Then it seems to respond as it should.
That has to be done each time the plane is powered up.

Tried this gyro today on my Gazaur Mars 480. Not bad. I'd say more: very good for a low budget gyro compared to walkera, esky, etc...

I am satisfied with it as well. It requires a little tuning, but after you set it up correctly, it works really sweet! Its important to set the mechanical centre (ie adjust the servo position to get heli working in normal mode). After this setup you can kick up the gain and tail starts to hold very good.

If someone in this thead that likes these would like to buy another one for $30 shipped in the US, drop me a PM. I have one two weeks old, never crashed, and the original box/instructions everything. Going to put the money toward a Spartan.

I have a question about this gyro. I use the gyro on a HK450 with MKS-DS480 tail servo. My transmitter is a Graupner MX-12, the recevier is a 8 channel dual conversion HITEC.
After I turn the heli on, and the gyro boots up, the LED on the gyro lights solid red. If I move the rudder stick to the left/right endpoint the LED begins to blink. If I change the EPA value of the rudder channel to ~20% the LED stays solid red.

What do I wrong?

frebor

Probably nothing wrong. A Futaba gy401 will also blink when receiving rudder input.
