Having a problem with Phoenix. When flying the background seems to have a jitter. It appears to mostly scroll across the screen ok but seems to step back a few frames each couple of seconds giving a jitter. Most distracting.

Anyone know the cause and a cure?

Comp specs;
2G 667 DDR2 ram
AMD dual core 3800+
Nvidia Geforce 8800 GT
17" BenQ LCD

Are you running in true fullscreen mode? Try enabling it under System > System settings > Display

Often windows does scans and other tasks in the background... makes mine run choppy when I figure boot up.. for 5-10 mins sometimes.

Yeah one great thing about Phoenix is that you can run it in proper fullscreen mode which makes the absolute best of your system by stopping all the other stuff that Windows does in windowed mode, and still use all the menus and features without having to drop back into windowed mode all the time.

Uncheck "Use vertucal sync" in the System settings/Display menu.
