I've never used a jr receiver before and I would not like to plug things in backwards. My servo plugs are universal and can be plugged in either direction. If you are looking at the receiver with the pins on the right, should the servo plug in with the signal wire on top--the + pos wire in the mid-- and the - neg wire on the bottom??
Can someone confirm proper set up so I dont start smelling smoke
thanks

On the JR 700 the signal wire will be closest to you (on top). If you think about it for a minute you will notice that the pos wire is in the middle. No matter how you plug it in it will always be the middle pin. It is impossible to reverse the + and - wire. That is unless you have removed the wires from the plug and reinstalled them in the improper order.

Also, for the battery slot, the black wire goes outboard
