Hello,

I have seen that this Tamiya car is controled by a
2 channel radio.

From what I have read it has breaks and a reverse.
Could you please explain me how you how you control
the breaks versus the speed direction change.

If you go forward and you press back on the stick
will it use the breaks then shift on reverse?
Or does it work in a different manner?

See you,

You got it right. It uses a couple of bell cranks to work it all out with
only two servos. You start to press back from the neutral position and the
brakes are applied...pressing a little further starts to open up the
throttle again and shift the transmission in reverse. The truck will not go
into reverse until the brake is fully applied. It works very much like an
electric car with reverse. It's a little strange and gets some getting used
to...if you throw trigger full back into the brake/reverse position when you
were going foward pretty fast you may switch to reverse as you are sliding
to a stop. It's fun, but the plastic u-joints on the drive shafts to the
tires eventually snap if you abruptly switch from very fast forward to
reverse.
