Dear all,
I would like to learn something about the compatibility of endurance-rc's PCTx interface to radios currently on the market.
I recently bought a PCTx interface and connected it to a Robbe/Futaba T4EXA to control some servos. Everything worked fine out of the box. The support by endurance-rc is great, and both hardware and software are of high quality.
Unfortunately, my Windows XP laptop signaled an error after about an hour of experimenting with the PCTx (something like „USB device cannot be recognized“, the exact error message was in German, however). Ever since, I cannot get the PCTx back to work. I tried all obvious steps, I think (replugging, restarting, rebooting, recharging all batteries). I have also reloaded the microcontroller software onto the PCTx. When trying with a second PCTx interface, the same problem occured: works fine first, no longer works after about an hour. Therefore, the failure is not a matter of random component failure.
Sender, receiver, and servos work fine when I release the trainer switch. The laptop is not the cause, either - I have tried it with another PC.
If you have successfully used a PCTx and if it has been long-term stable with your radio, please let me know which radio you are using. (Which country did you buy it in and when, what frequency band, which buddybox plug type?)
If you have any idea what could be wrong with my setup, I will appreciate any hint.
Finally, if you know about differences between futaba radios bought in different countries, please let me also know.
Thanks a lot.
