I had your Extreme in my f-86 with the 5 blade and it worked great until I destroyed the plane. Now I'm thinking about the slightly heavier E-domodel F-15 . It requires a 65mm fan. Is there any 65mm fan I can use with your Extreme and your 40 amp pent? Cut a 6 down to 3 to lower the amps possibly?
I've heard your motors bolt up to these fans. Is their fan strong enough for your Extreme on 3s?
Thanks,
Tom

The Extreme in a 64 mm fan with 3 blade rotor will suck up some amps, in the 43-45 amp range. Some have used it in the EDO models but flight times will be short. Mounting to the EDO unit is pretty easy, here is a link:

Don thanks for that link. Would I be better off using my 5 blade Alfa fan in the E-domodel f-15? Also, isn't the Edo fan a 5 blade as well?

The alfa is a 5 blade as well but it is 56 mm diameter instead of 64mm so the amps are lower. I am not sure if the Alfa would be better than the EDO in this model. Since these are bigger models I would think the bigger fan would be better.

Don,
So your 5400kv should be able to fly the F-15 using their fan. Will the pentium 40 amp be o.k. with this setup if I use throttle management? IF I can get 3 minutes of flight I'd be happy.
Thanks

On 3S with the Alfa 5 blade and 40 amp ESC, it should fly it .
