Hi guys, you have some very interesting information on here.

I am working with a verdex xm4 / robostix (-r1511) combination. At the moment I am connecting with a tweener, but I do have a netwifi board that I intend to use once it's airborne.

I am pretty new to this system and not very familiar with it. Is anyone able to provide me with some good resources (besides the gumstix wiki), or a bit of advice on how I should go about getting some servos to move, some motor control and setting up the netwifi board so I can control the gumstix wirelessly from my computer with a gaming device etc.

Cheers,
Andrew

Aamayer,

I am working on the same idea. This is what we are using verdex,netwifimicroSD*FCC,console-vx no problem so far...

Avionics
GPS is u-blox LEA-5T, INS is microstrain 3DM-GX2, this is the switching board

This two links have information about autopilots using Gumstix +MNAV100CA from XBOW, which by the way has been discontinued.

The Gumstixes were very fragile. The tiny hirose connector & extremely miniaturized chips didn't last through many crashes. They need hard case protection & isolation from force of any kind. Eventually moved to ground based autopilot. Having said that, they're good for learning about robotics and a first autopilot.
