I have a model that has mounts for a mabauchi 380 motor and was reading somewhere that a 400 size motor was the same. I would like to put some graupner 400's in the boat can anyone confirm that the sizes are the same the mounts are custom made to fit the 380's and look very good I would not want to modify them.

vision 400,
Graupner Speed 400
MFA 380
MFA 385

Are fully interchangable on the mount as they share the same outer can

Same dimensions but various screw threads?
Sometimes machine screws, occasionally sheet metal screws.
In any case check the screw length to avoid damaging the interior.

Pat is correct! Buy a Grauper regular 480 and not the race model and money saved by not buying the one in your posting. .

expat, i have a feeling that the cans are all from the same factory. I use the same screws on the motor going in that came out of the motor that came out of the boat.

I can measure the 400 race on my Airboat if you want LOL .. but I would bet they are all the same as has been mentioned numerous times above
