I say old chap, that's an awfully polite question:o)

Yes, most of the chaps at my club are using CP, in those damnable American
size 1 gallon containers;-o

It depends on whereabouts in the UK. Where *I* fly, NO-ONE uses it.

Does that mean we're not gents Beav?
Or does it mean we recognise marketing for what it is?
Or does it just come down to value for money?
Or what?

I'd rather pay a similar amount for a FULL Imperial gallon :-)

Methanol and EDL from Model Technics. Straight too coz the majority of my
motors are designed for no nitro operation.

18-20% oil depending on whether it's summer or winter.

You wouldn't be a gent if you did Al. Gents are where we leave a slash
remember :-)

Dunno about thee, but I know about me.

I like me engines to keep working.

I'm gonna follow in your footsteps Mr Beav. Shame Model Techincs website
hasn't been updated in 18 months. I think Revolution Models only stock cool
power, but I'll get some!

My engine's the webra 35 which is supposedly designed to run on 0-nitro
fuel, so it'll probably be a sensible move and my eyes won't sting so much.

I wish the Nitro smell from our little I/C engines was like the nitro smell
at santa pod when the top fuel dragsters run.
That smell is like a drug to me. I'm sniffing now trying to get a
rememberance wiff of it. I've only been twice and that was years ago but the
addiction is still there and I can almost just slightly smell it a bit :)

I'm chatting shit. Back to the topic

> 18-20% oil depending on whether it's summer or winter.

So should I get myself some Helimix Straight then? My CP 10 bottle is nearly
empty.

Any tips on a decent tuned pipe for my webra 35 comp / Sceadu? Or should I
ask in RunRyders Hirobo forum?
There're loads of pipes available, many of which I'm sure would fit, but a
tuned pipe should be the proper length in relation to the erm bore and
stroke and stuff(?!?) of the engine, to be a proper 'tuned' pipe, right?

As always your helpful advice (and witty comments ;) will be greatly
appreciated!

Carl

You might want to try some of the Model Technics "Bekra" heli fuel. Its
available in straight, 10%, 16%, 20% and 30%. Mark and I are both running the
16% at present, and its the best fuel I've ever put through an engine! Cool
Power sales have slumped to almost zero in our club since Bekra was
introduced!

It was formulated by Ben Godfrey down at Bekra R/C, who has been flying model
helis since Pontius was a pilot! He used to be heavily involved in the racing
motor-bike scene, and there's not much he doesn't know about 2-stroke
lubrication.

As I understand it, he uses a blend of synthetics that each have different
operating temperatures, so no matter if your engine is running hot or cold (or
even just right!) there will always be sufficient lubrication from one of the
elements.

All I can say is that it *works*!

I get my fuel FROM "Revo" Carl. They mix it to any ratio you desireth.

And it'll run BETTER than it does with nitro IF it's the no nitro version.

They throw a lot of Castrol R around though. Makes a nice difference.

It's probably the same smell I used to get off on when I went to the
Speedway races years back. Makes you shit the day after:-)
