There is a 4ch radio on sale at HL that states "expandable to 6 channels".
I would like to know what EXACTLY is required to do that, since the ad has no details.

Specific details such as:
Do you need to buy/add switches, and from whom, and are they availble?
Does it invlove more than just that (requiring added electronics)?

I almost added it to my order during last week's order, but was reluctant as there were no details. If it is easy/cheap to do, I would add the details to the web site.

I see they're on at 9:11am. Better bump this one up and may get an answer.

Hi Bill,
We do have a small amount of Expansion units available here. You will need to open up the radio, install the switch, and plug in the wire to the board. It should be pretty simple. These are not on our website, but you can call in and order the following:

IK170009 EXPANSION CHANNEL 5 $9.90
IK170010 EXPANSION CHANNEL 6 $10.90

Thanks,

866-933-5972Thank you. Pretty much what I thought after looking on the web today and seeing switch kits for expansion, for other units.
Looks like a good hacker with useable switches and interchangeable plugs could do the work with what they have laying around their shop too.

I may just order the setup with ch5 expansion, as I really don't need ch6. Just something to use for a few of the non 2.4MHz planes I have with retracts.

Thanks,
Bill
