I picked one of these up a while back and finally flew it last weekend. After I trimmed it out and played with the CG it flew awesome with a 420XT under the hood. I dumb thumbed it in (classic low inverted elevator wrong input move) and busted up the fuse pretty good (Third flight, no less. That felt good).
It is, however, fixable. Unfortunately the cowl is shattered and completely unusable. I called H-L and they told me it is discontinued and to make one from fiberglass. I don't do that stuff and am looking for another one to bring the plane back up to par. Is there any way to get my hands on one anywhere?
