Today was a nice day to be at the University of RI.....It was an annual Balloonarama,(didn't see 1 balloon though), I DID, however, see a BUNCH of talented R/C pilots!! One Kid,(about 23?), was obviously one of the big names in the game because he got MUCH respect,(and with good reason),at the event...and some really nice planes...including one that I swear looked like a straw with wings & a little white prop...very thin winged...whistled on vertical climbs..and was SOOOOO fast it wasn't to be believed!! A STRAW with wings...anyone ever hear of such a plane? I tried to talk to the pilot and he was gone.VERY manueverable little plane...couldn't even see it in the sky!!
Anyway...here's some pics...My hobby shop,(Brands), is well represented as was the local r/c club.....
I got more video that stills and that is too bad....but anyway...here they are:

The YAK? Fuel leak....wasn't that a nice plane? I mean right up until the fire? :)
HEY!! Let me ask you there rcking...do you remember an asian fellow with this what looked like a straw with wings & a prop?
It was white on bottom and yellow on top I believe...BUT...when it went verticle it whistled like a sky rocket....do you remember that plane? It looked like when he was carrying it,(wasn't very big), it looked as if the prop folded toward the front,(was carrying it nose down...was fast fast fast and wicked manuverable.
I'm dying to find out what plane that was...
Thanks and lemme know!
