SOLAR POWERED CLOTHES DRYER

This morning I built a solar power dry your clothes dryer from scratch.
It only took about 2 hours to build.
I call it The Millermatic Clothes Dryer
I bought the parts for my SOLAR POWERED CLOTHES DRYER cost under $15.00 at Wal-Mart.

The Millermatic Clothes Dryer is designed with wide spaced lines to let the optimum amount of solar power dry your clothes.*The Millermatic Clothes Dryer is all natural, with no expensive electricity of gas required.*
I estimate it will save you over $100.00 a year on your electricity of gas bill.
Once installed, the Millermatic Clothes Dryer can be left up all year.

I dont know about Millertime's solar powered clothes dryer... I think it may have a fatal flaw...

My Sister in Law was told by a visiting 'Well Baby Nurse' not to dry clothes outside due to the fact they may pick up bugs and bacteria from the air.
(this is over in GB by the way)

I wouldn't know what to do with such a wonderful invention... being in PNW such a device is rendered useless

*shifty eyes at the other PNW* sssssssssshhhhhhhhhhh

Re bugs etc in air: there is some evidence that kids who play in dirt develop better immunity capability than kids who play only in sparkling clean homes. Also, kids who play with cats also develop immunities better - the cat saliva on their coats (they are always grooming) ends up in the kid's mouth (pet kitty, then suck thumb?), and the kid is healthier for it.

I know that while I was in college, a co-op dorm on campus was very dirty in the kitchen all the time; when students went to visit India that summer, only the co-op residents did not come down with the traveler's bug. I don't know their health status during the school year preceding the trip. I had a friend in that house, and she did not seem to get ill any more often than anyone else on campus.

We humans evolved with dirt and bugs. When kids (and maybe college students) are denied that experience, it looks like they end up more sickly in later life. So, that Well-Baby Nurse is not doing anyone any favors, I'd say.

Brooks is right on with this, if you think of it. Nietsche said, "that which does not kill you, will make you stronger---."

When Oil gets a lil' bit higher, I wouldn't be surprised at all. Especially now that Tom Perkins's Maltese Falcon has proved you can do away with most of the crewing costs with those nice computerized sails.

(Just think of the size load Millertime could dry on this rig.)

These are an Australian icon,
The wife for a few months decided the hoist was inconvenient  so used the drier for everything, when I saw the quarterly power bill at $200 more than normal, the hot air I blew would have dried off a months worth of washing  :p

Nice work Millertime, time for a couple of your namesake admiring your handywork, I might have a Coopers with you

Nick

Sounds a little like an old wifes tail Toes, UV from the sun kills most nastys (O' yeah you said UK :D ) It also tends to bleach your clothes so astute laundry hangers turn everything inside out.

When you figure that a tank of gas may be significantly more expensive than the entire cargo of rubber duckys- sail does make sense! :)
