Ron, last Sunday (second Sunday of the month) Pete the AV RC Boat Club treasure sent me an E-mail letting me know he was going to be at Apollo lake. I was already committed to travel to Balboa Lake to see the US 1 Meter and Soling races. So I didn't make it to Apollo. Ron if you'd like to write Pete directly, I can PM you his E-mail address and you can ask him questions directly about the AV club. As Sakura Maru mentioned, most of the guys are go fast and turn right guys, but they welcome everyone to join their club, fast or slow. :)

Hydro racers are turn right sorts aren't they?

In fact, aren't most boat races right turns around bouys?

Anyway, turn right or turn left in cars is usually determined by which side the driver sits on. You generally turn whichever way you can see most of. Indy/CART cars sit in the middle and turn both ways... LOL! :D

At Apollo they go around the buoys in a clock ward direction. I don't know if they're coping in the direction hydros race, but that's the way they go around them. :o

Maybe my brain's backwards. The one I went to seemed to have them going clock wise, but now that I think about it, I think I watched one on TV where they were going counterclockwise.

Could be I just don't know what time it is... :D

Real races run anti clockwise..
model races seem to run clockwise.

Ha, ha, sure glad we got this straightened out. Didn't mean to start anything. Pete got a hold of me and let me know that the AV club is mostly nitro. Will go and watch anyway, even if they do turn the "wrong" way. LOL, Ron
