I met a master today............................

Today I met a master model builder. I spent the morning at a local lake, Balboa in the L.A. area. Only three modelers showed up, I do not count the guys racing sailboats, but that is another story. A gentleman pulls out of his truck a Monterey Clipper. 1/12 scale longliner. With a smoker and engine sound of a single cylinder Hickman. Sweet!!!We get to talking and he introduces him self as Bob Hererra Sat and visited with him for a couple of hours. Spoke about a business he had manufacturing MontereyClipper kits. Less then 500 hundered made. He has 4 of them made. And believe it or not him and a friend found a kit and are building it. Sweet!!! But wait I also got an invite to see his models in person in his shop/home. Sweet !!! So I thought I would share some pics from today.

I am not much of a builder but that is one boat I would not mind super glueing my fingers together, lol !!! :)

Yup, Bob is one of the "keepers of the flame", Not many of his kind left---. :D
