Looking for R/C Boating Clubs in South Florida

I am looking for any active R/C Boating Clubs in the Boca Raton/Deerfield Beach (South Palm Beach/ North Broward) area. Sailing and/or Speedboating (I currently have a sail and am considering expanding to "motorized" boating).

In addition to clubs I would be interested in which local parks/lakes allow for R/C boating. Need new scenery besides the lake by my apartment complex :-)

Patrick, I am the Vice President of a model boat club called the Wave Blasters of Florida. We have a web site (www.waveblasters.org) with all our info. We are about an hour and a half north of you. We meet every Sunday morning from 7:30 AM untill you have enough fun, and want to leave. We have a Photo Gallery and some Videos you can check out. You can bring as many boats as you want to run. We are an informal club and are very accommodating. I think you will find we are worth the trip, and if you have any questions please ask. Captain Bill

I work in Boca and I sail my voyager at the Blue Lake behind the Spanish River Library. There are several active groups if you are intressed in sail. One meets in Coconut Creek and the other meets up at North Lake. I too get tired of sailing in the lake behind my house.

I believe the coconut creek one sails at sabal palm park? I wrote them and am awaiting a reply to see if they were still active. would appreciate any further info. perhaps I'll take a drive up north to "Wave Blasters" one Saturday also :-)
