I've recently downloaded Metasequoia, and have been making a few fms models, if anyone is interested in using them, go ahead and click on the desired file/files below. Keep in mind that all the models are for Alpha 8 unless I say otherwise. These are the ones I've made so far. There are more to come! I've also targeted making unusual models, that as far as I know, have never been made for fms before!

Thanks for the Sumo model! I've been thinking about building one lately. Nice job, it looks great.

With the help of Firetrappe(inventor of the sumo and micro sumo), my fms micro sumo model now has the same paint job as the origional micro sumo! This makes it easier to tell if it's upside down or right side up, and it just looks better. Have fun!

Here is my latest model. This one I call Fun One. It is 3D and not recommended for beginners though. This is my first full fuse and airfoil plane. It's a nice looking beast, and is awsome to fly.
Megamat, I've tried to get that model to work but just can't. Sorry.

It's easy. Click on the file you want to download, and hit save. On the next screen, for the destination you will save it too, find program files, then FMS, then model, then hit save. Now go into My Computer and find program files, then FMS, then model again. It should be in a zipped folder, so right click the zipped folder and click extract all, and follow the instructions. Now it's ready to fly.

This is the best model I've designed in the real world, and now it's a great fms model too! With the looks of a sport park flier and the performance of a 3D, this plane rocks!

Love em all4. Now, if only that superfly model would work

Well, the main reason I can't get it to work is that there doesn't seem to be any type of file attached to it that contains the model itself. What I'm talking about is a Metasequoia file or something like that. And it also needs an x file to work with fms. If I had a metasequoia file, I could get it to work.

^Ahh, I see.
Any chance you could make a 3D foamy, like a DW Foamies Yak 54 or something similar? I have no experience with Metasequoia, nor do I have the space to store it on my computer (I can hardly store FMS on here right now).

Not to grab your thread all4, but I do have a Tiburon Bipe (http://gunnerson.homestead.com/files/tiburon-bipe.zip) made for FMS.

Not anything against you, Gary. But I've never felt quite right with that model. It seems a little tail heavy, and is very hard to do popular maneuvers like blenders, flat spins, snap rolls, and lamcevacs <spelled right? And whats with the weird engine noise? This is the only model you've made that I don't like, all the rest are great!

Cool. Then fix it for me. ;)
Hmmm... A little snippy there, sorry. Actually, the model was done with very little feedback. All they said was, cool and thanks! So, I never had the model and nobody helped get it right. So any help would be nice.
That said, I just put up a revised version. Back in 11/2004 when I created that model, all .par files were created by hand without a .par editor. So, most models then were experiments in .par editing. I never did go back and modify all the early models.
So grab the latest one and let me know what needs changing. Again, it would be nice if an actual owner could attest to the model's flying attributes.

Sorry, I'm still have to figure out how to make par files for the new version fms. If you can help me with that, maybe I can help you with your tiburon bipe.

I'm a noob in RC and have been enjoying some fairly good flying due in part to practicing with some of your models in FMS. Thanx! :D
Well, ready or not, I have purchased a couple of EDF's (F-35 and Mini F-4), but so far have not found any FMS models that are worthy to fly. Your Cutlass model is the best I have found so far, but it is 3 channel and not representative of the performance of a typical EDF available in today's market.
Have you made, or can you point me to a worthwhile EDF sim model.
TIA,
Ted

Don't mean to hijack your thread (see above post).
I haven't had time to look at your models yet, but wonder if you might have a quality EDF model as well.
Thanx,
Ted

I now have a model of the ever so popular Nutball perfected. I had help from people who have flown real Nutballs. I myself have never flown one, but they said I've got it down pretty good now. This is the first model that I've made a par file for, so it's pretty exciting. This will work with versions beta 7 and up on fms.
Looooeeee!

I've done a few FMS models, Can you give me the motor specs, prop size, airframe dimensions, weight in grams and an approximate description of the airfoils, you know flat plate, cambered, semi symetrical, and whether they have elevons or not.

Here's my model for the Plantraco Komet! It's very accurate to the real thing! This uses a Beta 7 par file, so it will work with both Beta 7 and Alpha 8 versions of FMS.

Is FMS compatable with Windows Vista?
I went to the FMS web site (http://n.ethz.ch/student/mmoeller/fms/index_e.html) but didn't find the answer there. Thier forum is also down. :(

Vista compatibility is elusive for some machines.
There are known issues with FMS:
1) Needs a physical or virtual COM: port.
2) Needs a DirectX DLL for Vista.
3) Some video drivers on Vista do not work well with FMS.
The FMS site is up right now and so is the forum.
There are numerous discussions regarding Vista compatibility.

Cool! I've made some progress on sketchup to FMS for the models. My notes are at:
