Can anyone help me with props. I have been using 3 bladed propshop props
on my aeromarine xxx with a MHZ Z drive i tried a 6717 and a 7016 and
they seem to slip at take off and then dont seem to let the engine rev
either, i changed to a MHZ carbon prop 2 blade 76mm and the boat really
flies and the engine peaks out really nice. I also tried a propshop prop
on one of my other boats and it was the same sort of performance the
engine seems to rev up and just cavitate?????

Are you running a stock or mod motor? For me the 6717/3 was terrible on
a stock motor but works very well with a mod motor in my mono. I've
also had very good luck running an ABC 3014 on both the stock and mod
motors. Doug

I am running a G26 Zen with a 257 carb and a Quickdraw hot pipe the
engine also has a clutch. The Z Drive is counter rotating or rotates
the opposite direction of the engine so my prop choices are really
limited. The 6717 and 7016 seemed to slip and not get the boat fully
out of the water. The best so far has been a $12 plastic prop from MHZ
70mm with 98mm pitch.
