Since this is the heli section I figured what better place to post my record setting flight. Eat your heart out DS'ers I have photo proof.
The pics of the gps readout and altitude are still to come.
I would like to thank my team, and Lockheed for making the C-5. We fly again tomorrow and I'll see if I can break my own speed/altitude records. Thanks in advance for all of the congratulations!:)

Cool, jetdryver- when I saw the title I expected a long range photo after it was dropped from the ramp :).

Just to make it more challenging, do it "upstairs" in the cattle hold. Inverted. With that "air conditioning" nozzle on full blast...
Edit... on second thought... "jetdryvr"... Maybe you should stay closer to the front.

[QUOTE=jetdryvr] Eat your heart out DS'ers I have photo proof.
Put a radar gun on it, I bet it won't read that fast. And I think you just might have disqualified yourself from the DS'ing comparison for going ever so slightly out of the guide lines  ...and your not going in a circle...or are you?
I beleive the new world DS record is 357 mph at 10-15 ft. (If anyone cares)....not bad for a ship with no power.
Pretty cool though.

Has anyone actually clocked how high our birds can actually fly? (On their own)

i'm a bit unimpressed - the cabin was pressurised ? surely thats the same conditions (speed, pressure level flight etc) as the plane woulda been in at a lower altitude. the only difference is to the plane your in not the heli

They'er fly'n in Denver...that's already about a mile high. They do have a few issues (minor) with the thin air. I'm at around 50 ft...our air is FAT.
