I am looking to fly both electric planes and heli's.

I am looking for a flight sim which comes with its own usb controller and will be the best for learning with. Any recommendations which is the best?.

I came across this, any good?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

The best TX is the same one you're going to use to fly your real r/c.
Most if not all sims will allow you the options to use you're own TX.

Some people use smartpro or JJoy and plug into the mic jack.

I have most of the major brands. They all feel different.
Probably the spring tensions.
But you can adjust the stick's perimeters..if the TX is computerized

The realfilght usb TX is the same as the Futaba/Tower Hobbies.

I have a lama v4 heli. I am not sure the TX will allow me to connect via usb.

As i have not had any replies i have taken a guess and ordered this controller:

Hopefully this is ok.

We just installed Aerofly with the Icarus full scale add-on and it is awesome. We use our Futaba controller, but the controller has to be on to work. That means I have to keep the antenna up because the controller is transmitting. It also means I have to keep charging the controller. I didn't foresee these issues. I tried taking the battery out of the controller, but that doesn't work, it has to be on for the interface to work. Does anyone know a way around this? I may just purchase the Aerofly TX.

The 72MHz Lama V4 comes with the Esky 0404 transmitter. The back of this transmitter has a small circular port that you can use to connect to your USB port.

You can buy a cable similar to this from Ka-Planes and it should work fine with any simulator that does not require a dongle.

I use Clearview (only $40 you know!) with my real radio (DX6i) and after tweaking the HBFP and the Blade 400... they really feel like the real thing.. I was surprised (since they aren't great as they come in Clearview).. and it's the best possible practice I can get in it's a windy day! :)

I swear by Realflight(tm) G4. It comes with a Futaba controller using the actual hardware from the real radios, and the physics are unbelievable!

It is a bit pricey, but man is it ever accurate !
