Hi. My question is to German people who had bring radio equipments from other countries.

My problem is i live in Turkey and the customs office do not accept radio equipments so i decided to give my uncle's adress in Ludwigshafen Mannheim and later he will bring it to me.

I would like to know that if there is such a problem in Germany too. It will be shipped from USA to Germany.

Thank you.

No, there should be no problem, but the shipment has to include an invoice, and your uncle will have to pay the german VAT ( value added tax, 16%, I believe ) on the invoice amount.

Yes that is correct!! Paul

Just to say it is 19% for VAT in Germany (Mehrwertsteuer or "Mwst" for short) . I brought my radio equipment from England but there was no problem with paying tax or anything but if it is posted too Germany from outside the EU it will go through a local tax collection office .

Hope this is Helpfull.

I know this thread is ages old, but it pops up in search machines anyway, so for the sake of completeness:
USA RC equipment works in the 72MHz band.
European air RC equipment is 35MHZ and general RC (cars, boats etc) is 40MHz.
The new 2.4GHz RC systems can be used in EU, but not the 72MHz.
