This large 'glider' is known as the 'pugsley flyer' - from what I understand it was built for a charity in the UK called 'children in need' (pugsley is a mascot bear).. It was flown I believe for 8 hours straight to raise money, and that was on 1 litre of fuel. It can be loaded with 2 litres of fuel! (diesel, flies on tickover!).. It's pretty big - approx. 3m wingspan.
It flew tonight for 2h15m on just 2oz of fuel! At least half a dozen of us has a session, in relay!! :D
