Just as the title says I have a question about frame spacing.

On a 42x12" ship how far appart should the frames be? The hull will be of similar design to the Tito Neri, flat bottom with a wide bow. The hull as drawn measures 4.5" from keel to deck and I am going to have a raised section on the bow that will be 1" higher than the working deck.

I was thinking have a frame every 2" for a total of 21frames and the aft bulkhead. Any advise from veteran scratch builders would be great, thanks

A couple inches is fair, 3" would work fine, even 4" in the middle where there's little change in shape.
Once the hull shell is built and the deck beams are in place, the frames do little work... they mostly serve to help you bend the planks into shape...

I do pretty much the same...

After I fiberglassed my 52" ferry boat, I tore all the frames out..
Since the planks were all finished and I needed the space, the frames had to go.
