Can anyone tell me if one of the red wires should be disconnected on one brushless ESC with internal bec when running two brushless ESCs/motors on the one battery & receiver. I do with brushed ESCs I'm just not sure about brushless. The last time I played around with the rescue boat the 50amp ESCs got hotter than I think they should have. The ducted fans only draw 26amps so they were in no way overloaded. The ESCs are a forward/reversing type. There was, however, a lot of stopping & starting, forward & reversing, and part throttle work that may have warmed them up a bit. Here's the setup.
Any help would be appreciated.
Kind regards.
Paul.

Hi Paul,

Yes, you should disconnect one of the red wires, regardless if it's a brushed or brushless ESC, it's the BEC circuitry you want to disable, not the ESC...

Thanks Jan.
I sort of thought so but just needed confirmation from someone who knows. I'll do it before the next outing.
Knd regards.
Paul.

For anyone running Castle Creation ESC's you do not have to disable one of the BEC's. CC ESC's will run in parallel without any problems.
