I got them new monster tires & wheels installed on the S-10.
unfortanately, the body doesn't quite clear the tires even after exchanging the
G-10 rear body mount with the N-1 body mount. the problem is with the front
tires. Tried putting the G-10 rear body mounts on the front didn't help any.
the position of the mount didn't match the holes on the body. The G-6 front
body mounts has a 5 degree slant toward the front, apparently to deal with the
front gear part slant position.
here are my options.
1. - trim the fender area past its original lines
2. - punch holes in the front body so that the G-10 mounts would fit. and
perhaps something to cap the extra hole.
3. - find a similar G-6 front mount that's longer. haven't found anything that
like tho. I did find tamiya's skyline body mount set options seems to have an
extra slanted mount part which looks like it would extend the G-6 mount.
would welcome any comments/suggestion on what I ought to do.
