Hi guys, I just bought a boat (Dumas Scarab) that needs to be finished up...powered by a Picco .90 (everything about 15 years old, but never been started or in the water)....however I'm not a fan of the looks of the Scarab, I really want an outrigger to put the engine into just because of the looks!
But I haven't been able to find someone that makes an outrigger that takes that size engine, and from the little bit I've read, an outrigger is not for beginers....why not? Do they handle that poorly or squirrely? Can they only operate on glass smooth water?
I have never seen an RC boat in action other than youtube, and there don't seem to be any clubs, etc in my area (SE Wisconsin) that are into rc boats...
I'm pondering the thought of just selling the whole boat outright and maybe going gas power, not sure yet....the look of that nitro motor is tough!
I have so many more questions! I'll begin by doing some searches.
Thanks for any input!

it can be frustrating trying to get a rigger setup properly... Madison area fast electrics has declaired the start of the summer race season starting sunday :) if you happen to be near mazo on sunday drop by, I understand our resident rigger 'expert' will be there.
