Hi,
Kinda new to Don's motors. Do you build these "in house" or purchase from a vendor? I have heard great things about these motors(just bought one BTW) and just had a quick question.

Thanks,
Randy

I do not make them myself, I have a company I work with that makes them how I want :D

Randy,

On the 3000KV use the 4.1 x 4.1 prop. That will get you going pretty good. I have not done a lot of tests with bigger props on 4S. Some guys have put on some pretty big props with 4S but eventually burned them out .

hey Randy, Don,
maybe we could do a thread just for motor data!? (ala the EDF thread)
i know theres info on the product site, but... maybe user 'applied'
data, props, current draws, flight times etc particularly to share user experienced findings?

Hi Don,
I promptly received my order - Thanks.

It was recommended to me that I use the Pentium 30A or 40A ECS with a LSSPJ - 7 X 5 prop, with S3's or S4 batteries in a 28in SkyRay I have under construction. That's why I ordered both. I have been looking through many threads in the evenings for days to see how others have set there up and there seems to some confusion. Some say timing low other say high. I have left a message on the Littlescreamers forum put I haven't received a response yet - perhaps someone could shed some light on the subject. Thanks - Jay

You will want to run those on high timing with the Pentium ESCs. That may change for 4S though as I never tested 4S, so you may have to go medium, but I would start at High as that usually does the trick on that line of pusher motors. If you use low timing, they will generally start running OK but at about half throttle start to squeal and they may stop which can smoke the motor and the ESC.
