Hi folks + thanks in advance to anyone replying.
Have previously flown my shuttle with the quick uk tail pushrod. When i
bought the pushrod kit i also got a set of nhp 30 size tails.
Thanks to this group i was able to find out how to finish/seal the blades
but i also found this post from 2001....
"NHP tails won't fit the Shuttle NHP=5mm grip Shuttle=4mm grip, get some MS
80mm 4mm grip blades they have supurb quailty and performance."
Arse! - I hadn't realised until opening the bag that they were a fair bit
"fatter" than the orig shuttle tails. They do fit in the tail grips and can
pivot but not as freely as the originals...
Is it a bad plan fly with this set up?
and/or
Should i source tails with the correct sized roots?
ta,
D.

I have found 2 solutions to this problem,
1. Buy Quick UK tail blades with 4mm grips (Cheap)
2. Get the K&S tail rotor hub, sorry I don't know the p/n (I think mine came
from Midland Helicopters),
it comes with spacers for both thicknesses. This improves on the single
thrust races in the std kit.
Hope this Helps
Tim.
PS don't fly your Heli if your not 100% confident in its
structural/mechanical integrity.
