Has anyone tried this combination? Trying to bench test the HXT 80-100 130Kv
At 40 Volts I can't advance the throttle beyond 80A without losing sync and the motor stalling.
Don't know if the motor can't deliver or if the ESC is the culprit.
Has anyone run the HXT 80-100-B beyond 80 amps???
Amazed there isn't more on this if this a common short coming.
It'll be awhile before I get my 100V 200A ESC built.
Was hoping to get at least 40 lbs or more thrust using the Sentillon 100A-HV
Any feedback would be great.
Thanks,

What timing do you have set in the ESC?

I had the same problem using a Jeti Spin99 ESC and a Hacker A60-24s. It would cut out at about 70 amps or so. I was running 10s LiPo. The Hacker motor is supposed to be good for 90 amp bursts so it didn't make any sense to me either. If someone has any experience with this I would like to know as well.
My timing was set at 24 degrees, and the frequency was at 8khz

Look at the log on the Jeti Spin 99. I'll bet it shows you were exceeding the 99 amps .... and that is why it cut power at that point. My Spin 75 says it was seeing 80+ amps when the Astro Whattmeter was reading only 65 static.
Basically, the Spin 99 is reading higher than it should (poor accuracy) and this is causing the power down.

I did check the log on the spin box and it showed nothing just a line across the screen. I didn't think of it at the time but maybe that does mean that it exceeded 99 amps. All other data was available.

I tried the Sentillon 100-HV with an Axi 5330/24 on 12S and had the same thing happen. Above about 40A it would lose sync and squeal.
I tried all combinations of timing etc, and couldn't get it to work properly. Switched to a CC85HV and it ran smooth as. The Sentillon now runs a Newtor outrunner on 12S 65A just fine. So in summary, the ESC was fine, and the motor was fine, but they just weren't compatible as a pair.
Maybe you're seeing the same sort of incompatability.

Scroll down to the menu for errors (the last one on the list).
You will see a U=(n or y) T= (n or y) C= (n or y) and I= (n or y)
U= voltage
T= temperature
C= commutation
I= current
If you see a "n" beside each, all is well.
If you see a "y" .... the parameters have been exceeded, and likely resulted in a motor cut off.

Thanks very much for the help but I already removed the motor and installed the Hacker A60-24M and it works fine. I don't believe it was cutting out due to over amperage. There was a high pitch sound when the motor cut out leading me to believe that it was losing sinc.

Sounds like a timing issue, had the same problem but mine would happen if I spooled up the motor real fast, propping down made it go away, but I wanted a bigger prop. Messed with the timing and it went away.

Did you increase the timing or decrease?

I dont remember, I think there are only 3 timing choices, low mid and high on that esc. I think it comes preset to low so I went to medium. I could be wrong but whatever I did worked.

I had to go to high timing on 12s2p a123 / Axi 5345/14 / 22x12WE APC / Sentilion 100A or the motor would howl like a banshee when loaded.
