I wasn't sure were to post this so I thought I'd start here:

I have a speed 400 motor with an olympus gb. When the motor is wired "normally", the prop of course turns in the opposite direction. Being that this is a speed 400 motor, is there anything negative with just reversing the leads from the speed controller to the motor to get the correction prop rotation?

Power Systems would probably be the best forum but since you're here... just reversing the leads should work without any problem, provided the motor hasn't been running for too long in the other direction (they seem not to like being reversed when they've got used to running in one direction ;)).

Thanks Steve. Actually I did the break in (water type) with the motor running in reverse. It wasn't until AFTER this that I thought about any potential problems!

Thanks for the response.

Make sure if you are using a diode across the two terminals to reverse that also. The + marked end of the diode should be on the same side as the + wire coming out of you ESC. I didn't switch the diode once and ended up frying my ESC.
