Stefan, It is the fiberglass hull. The instructions call for doweling to be used for the tuna tower I would use brass or aluminum. I never bought the running gear for this kit. I did call Dumas this morning and they said they still sell the running gear kit and also the stainless steel railing set. I think the safest way to ship this to you is to ship the hull in one box and the kit contents in another box. I checked Ups ground –38x10x3 12lbs $20. The Hull 54x17x11 box 7lb $48.60= $ 68.60 shipping. This hull is stunning. My fleet is too large and I just wont have the time to build this one. A shame. I’m currently working on a 100 scale Bismarck. Please feel free to ask any other question you may have.
